Ready to join our network of recognized course providers? A3 recognition demonstrates your commitment to quality avalanche education and connects you with students and employers seeking trusted training.

Requirements:

  • Independent or Curriculum Provider course curriculum that meets A3 guidelines

  • Qualified instructors with appropriate credentials

  • Comprehensive operational risk management plan

  • Valid land use permits

Application Process:

  1. Pay initial application fee: $425 (includes one course and mode of travel review)

  2. Submit Course Provider Application Materials

  3. Pass review by A3’s Education Committee

  4. Additional courses: $200 per course or mode of travel review

Processing time: Between 2-6 weeks depending on the time of year and completeness of application materials
